「リリって、誰?」

Hi! Call me Dauri. 👋 I’m a rather unassuming OL (sort of) by day, but I moonlight as a self-proclaimed R-18 Otome CD enthusiast and connoisseur.

While I got my start back in 2012 with Lover’s Only (ikr, super old), I fell off the deep end with Sweets Blossom by the one-and-only Milky Chain label and have been translating synopses of questionable and saucy CDs ever since. I like to think I’m sharing the love (quite literally) among this tiny niche with the power of my semi-mediocre 日本語能力. Here’s hoping my knowledge of smutty CDs brightens your day a little.

I can speak, understand written Japanese, and have slapped together a 論文 or two back in the day (weird flex, I know), but full disclaimer: I would never consider myself fluent. My N2 certificate is sitting somewhere at the bottom of one of my drawers, gathering dust, and until I find some excuse to use my shoddy business Japanese, it’ll stay there for the inevitable future. 🙈

When I’m not doing my best impression of a functional adult or blogging, you can find me pretending to be the next big aesthetic™ photographer with my beloved Fuji X100F, stuffing my face with gratuitously sweet pastries (basic, anyone?), shopping for clothes I don’t need, or crying over all the games coming out on the Switch.

Other shameless/shameful loves of mine

刀剣乱舞 (Sword bois), FE Heroes (Yes, I know), City Pop, do-M boys (see above), and Millennial-Bait Beauty Products

You can also find me at my former home, Tumblr, or my new second home, Twitter.

❤️ Dauri

P.S: If you love do-M boys as much as I do, I like your style.

P.P.S: If you’re interested in learning who my biases are (for some inexplicable reason), say no more.

But what is this blog about?

Oh, you poor, poor lost soul.

First thing’s first—if you’re a minor, please come back when you’re a little more legal. 🙂 Otherwise, proceed! Maybe you’ll find something you like.

In general, this blog is pretty SFW. The NSFW, however, is in the actual content of the products I post about—R-18 Otome Situation/Drama CDs, or 女性向けドラマ CDs. While the product itself is not age-restricted, it is strongly recommended!! that you are 18+ if these tracks are on your ‘stress-relief’ playlist.

You can read a little more about this weird grey area here, and here.

But if that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in the right place. Generally, I post:

  • Translated synopses of upcoming drama CDs
  • Aggregated lists of upcoming drama CDs and where to buy them if you want bonuses
  • Giant lists of CDs I recommend to people who are looking for reccs
  • Shitposts. (I have to, I’m from Tumblr.)
  • Somewhat helpful guides
  • Potentially helpful answers to questions asked by anons
  • …and…once in a blue moon starting this year, a review of a CD

Thanks for visiting my quiet but mildly spicy corner of internet!

P.P.P.S: “Dauri, where does your name even come from?”

I had a phase where I was unreasonably infatuated with the French language, ok?
