Hi! Call me Dauri. 👋 I’m a rather unassuming OL (sort of) by day, but I moonlight as a self-proclaimed R-18 Otome CD enthusiast and connoisseur.
While I got my start back in 2012 with Lover’s Only (ikr, super old), I fell off the deep end with Sweets Blossom by the one-and-only Milky Chain label and have been translating synopses of questionable and saucy CDs ever since. I like to think I’m sharing the love (quite literally) among this tiny niche with the power of my semi-mediocre 日本語能力. Here’s hoping my knowledge of smutty CDs brightens your day a little.
I can speak, understand written Japanese, and have slapped together a 論文 or two back in the day (weird flex, I know), but full disclaimer: I would never consider myself fluent. My N2 certificate is sitting somewhere at the bottom of one of my drawers, gathering dust, and until I find some excuse to use my shoddy business Japanese, it’ll stay there for the inevitable future. 🙈
When I’m not doing my best impression of a functional adult or blogging, you can find me pretending to be the next big aesthetic™ photographer with my beloved Fuji X100F, stuffing my face with gratuitously sweet pastries (basic, anyone?), shopping for clothes I don’t need, or crying over all the games coming out on the Switch.
Other shameless/shameful loves of mine
刀剣乱舞 (Sword bois), FE Heroes (Yes, I know), City Pop, do-M boys (see above), and Millennial-Bait Beauty Products
P.S: If you love do-M boys as much as I do, I like your style.
P.P.S: If you’re interested in learning who my biases are (for some inexplicable reason), say no more.
