An update from your friendly neighborhood absentee

Hello lovely readers and fellow drama CD connoisseurs,

(*If there are still any of you reading this)

I hope you’ve all been well and are staying safe with your loved ones during these difficult, unprecedented times. With my exceptional comedic timing, I wanted to take a moment to give you all an update on the status of this little niche of the internet of mine, as you all may have noticed that I’ve been conspicuously quiet as of late.

With all that’s going on in the world, I’ve been quite preoccupied during the first three months of this year, to say the least. Between the developments in my personal and professional lives, I haven’t had a lot of time to sit back and enjoy nice voices… and updating this blog became very low on the priority list. My sincere apologies for not keeping you all in the loop!

The drama CD industry itself (and by proxy, the niche of R-18 otome), understandably, has also been on a bit of a hiatus—I’m not seeing much slated for anything past May, though only time will tell if there will be more releases in the future with all that’s going on in the world. The only exception to this is perhaps the doujin world, which is as prolific as ever. (I’m in no spot to make promises at the moment, but if circumstances allow, I had plans to share out my recent favorites with you all. 😉)

That being said, I fully intend on coming back with the occasional update. If I’m honest, these updates may not be on a regular schedule, and you might be waiting for a while as I spend my days playing P5R and copious amounts of AC:NH. However, I’ll keep this corner up and running for the foreseeable future, and I hope to get back to giving all of you the deets sometime soon!

Thank you for all of your patience, and stay safe. Don’t forget to wash those hands. 😘

Digital hugs from a distance of at least 6ft away,

Dauri ❤️

Good to hear from you Dauri. Even if we are all just random people on the internet, it’s good to see life signs from bloggers I follow in these hard times. Stay safe and feel free to post some reviews and recs when you have time!

But take your time kween! Just wanted to leave a comment to let you know you’ve got supporters :p Stay safe and healthy!

Aww, thank you so much for the support all these years, and for the well wishes! ❤️ I’m so happy to hear that the CDs gave you some comfort all this time, but I’m even more excited to hear that you have a partner that can make those scenarios a reality for you! 😉 Hoping you two (and your loved ones) stay safe and healthy as well!

Thank you for the update! I was getting worried especially cause of the stuff happening at the moment. And I get the P5R and Acnh thing cause I’ve sunk way too many hours on both, trying to 100% P5R was a very bad idea. You stay safe and healthy!

Aw, welcome back! I must admit I’ve fallen off the drama cd bandwagon once I converted to DLsite… digital downloads are just so much easier to buy compared to the physical CDs, and the doujin industry really is so prolific. not that I’m complaining! anyway, I’d still love to see your roundups/maybe even reviews! hope you are taking care!

Thank you for dropping by anon! I really appreciate it. 😘 Also totally agreed on digital vs physical – sometimes it’s just not quite worth it to purchase the physical copies when they’re right there on DLsite… Take care of yourself as well, and stay safe! I’ll do my best to come back with some content worth a peek!

I’ve been a fan of your blog and always been thankful for your kindness. As a drama CD enthusiast, your blog really helps me learn better where to access these CDs. It’s hard because I’m still lacking in my Japanese skills so thank you so much! I hope you’re doing well and take care! <3
